In the southern parts of India and the adjoining states of Tamil Nadu, Kamma caste or community are known as Kamma Naids or Kammavar Naidus. In coastal Andhra Pradesh, they are called Chaudhry.
Every month Pournami Pooja is performed. Yearly Thai Pongal, Sattu Pandigai are celebrated with great gala. During the tamil month of Margali, the whole month is celebrated in the temple.
